Hi all,

Having been a scuba diver for a few years and having a few forays into pole fishing i'm desperate to get a bit more serious into spear-fishing. This is the best site i've found and i'm hoping to get alot of questions answered...

Would be great to hear from anyone else in the UAE or middle east that can help me through this 'beginner' experience.

hi Les
we train in Abu Dhabi every week (pool training) and try to go out once a month on the boat.
you can have a look at my website Divas in Dubai Divas in Dubai and also we have a facebook group called Extreme UAE.

there are plenty of spearos in the UAE...i am sure they will be contacting you soon..

Hey, thanks for all the responses - so quick! Didn't get a gun yet as been looking around and looking at reviews on the net....also not too sure the best place to buy here in Dubai....

Hi Hutch. Welcome to DB and to spearfishing as well. I am at the other side of the border (Qatar).

Feel free to ask anything about spearfishing :) and look for some of the spearfishing posts in Qatar :) :) :)

The one i know is the one here in abu dhabi, Just dial 181 and ask for the number of Gulf Marine Sports in Dubai, as far as i know its very near or somewhere in the opposite of World Trade Center, sorry i dont know the number coz the abu dhabi branch is just a block away from where i work:confused:
