Hi,

haven't done any diving in 3 years and it was very sporadic before that, easing myself back into it by snorkelling along the shoreline and now I'm thinking I'd like to try some spearfishing as well. I've read quite a bit on spearfishing and spearguns on this excellent forum but I'm finding it hard to locate a dealer in Ireland. Would love some tips from any spearos in Ireland, it seems that most buy online or when abroad but it would be nice to hold one and 'try it for size' before buying.

hello there i think its time for a vacation to spain for you.
they sell loads there but don't go to the Mediterranean side of Spain.
only drunk english basterds and no fish around there

funny you should mention Spain. I'm off to Malaga for a few days work next week but I don't fancy bringing a speargun back in my cabin baggage :naughty. Still, at least I can check out a few brands and if time permits maybe a dip in the deep blue to try one. Considering the Cressi Comanche 75 as my first choice.
