Hi from Vegas. I just received a brand new “Daynight 41”. I love the tritium dial and hands, but the watch is too thick and heavy. I’d Like to take the movement out and put it into a thinner (non deep blue” case, preferable a case that accepts seiko six parts to I can add bezels and a double domed crystal. being a 4R35 movement, anyone else mod or do something like this? Wondering how it turned out. Where’s the best place for me to post topics on Deep Blue mods?

Thanks,
Mike G.

Looks like what I’m asking about Is about a case swap, and modding... its just the height of the hands that have me concerned.

Customizing dive watches? Are you a diver? If so, you could try starting a thread under the most appropriate equipment section for your chosen discipline e.g. SCUBA, freediving or Spearfishing. I guess SCUBA is most relient on a decent five watch.

I hate to say it but you might be better off posting to a specialist watch forum.

Personally, I now buy self- winding watches, so I don't need to break the seals to replace batteries. I had a store change the battery on a Casio G- shock once and it leaked badly afterwards (they replaced the watch). That said, I have 3 or 4 cheap battery watches that I often wear spearfishing and I have changed their batteries myself several times without problem.
