Hi! Has anyone Freedived in SE Asia (Thai/Philipp/Viet/Camb)?

Hi All,

i just started a Level 1 Apnea Academy free diving course here in Milan, Italy and i am looking to travel to SE Asia this winter and was wandering if anyone knows any good free diving spots to go to in this area. I was thinking Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia.

Ideally the place would be:
- beautiful beaches / sea / underwater life
- not too touristy
- not expensive (i have a bag packer background and a cheap & clean bungalow is fine for me)
- not too difficult to reach (max 1 day travel from a main city i.e. Bangkok)
- ideally there would be a diving/freediving centre so that i can find buddies to go free diving with

Anyone have some tips? they would be greatly appreciated! And obviously if anyone wants to join they are more than welcome! I'll be in Bangkok for a wedding on the 8th Jan so thinking of going before or after...
