I am a South African now living in Glasgow, keen to get back into spearfishing and free diving. Anyone out there that can help me with courses in Scotland and also clubs to pursue these activities.

Hi Mark,

I'm new to the forum too and based in Scotland. I've been travelling for a few months but when I return I may move to Edinburgh or Glasgow so looking out for potential buddies. I've not been spearfishing yet but very keen to get started when I return.

Thanks for the reply, give me a shout when you are back so we can sort out a dive. Where are your travels taking you to?
I work on a ship and I am presently in Argentina but on my way home today to Glasgow for christmas and new year.

Hey Mark,

I'm back in Scotland in a few days but it would probably be in the new year before I'm based down your way (if all goes to plan, which it never does!).

We've been in Canada, CR, Panama, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. An amazing trip.

Have a safe trip home! Were you in Argentine waters or moored up in a port?

Hey Mark,

I've just moved to Glasgow too and would be keen to get out spearfishing. Only done it a handful of times in NZ so I'll be absolutely rubbish, but at least I'm enthusiastic, hey!

I've had a look for clubs/courses, but I can't find any up here in Scotland. There are one or two apnea clubs in northern England, but most of the spearfishing ones seem to be down on the south coast. Let me know if you have any better luck.
