Several months back I was diagnosed with a Hiatal hernia. Change in diet etc.
Question is this. My Gastro Dr. is a good guy but knows nothing of apnea training, diving etc.
Anyone know if there are risk involved in diving with this thing?
Perhaps a knowledgeable Dr on the board?

I don’t think there is any risk, but you may have to adjust your eating habits a bit. I have the same problem diagnosed about 40 years ago. I am always carefull to have a very small breakfast and expect to dive maybe two and a half hours after this meal, it generally works. If circumstances arise where you find yourself diving earlier than this after a meal pound a bunch of tums or other anti acid, but it’s WAY better not to get in that sort of situation, no long term problems, bascially just don’t eat much before diving.

Thank you for the feedback! Good advice and I'll be sure to follow it.
