High Level Of Spammers Attacking Forum

Hi everyone - just a quick note to let everyone know that we are experiencing a high level of spam attacks on the forums. Spammers are posting hundreds of messages (normally in some foreign language) and circumventing the checks we have in place - I personally have removed close to 1,000 posts and a dozen spam accounts in the last 48 hours.

The team is dealing with the spam as they arise but please bear with us if we haven't gotten round to removing some. You can help by clicking on the REPORT button at the bottom of each post should you find some spam that we haven't dealt with yet.

I see they got lazy and started spamming a single character for every thread lol.
What happened to the good ol days of spamming high quality scat porn?

But... why attack a small diving forum?
PETA members upset about the spearfishing section perhaps.

Thanks @noobey - just dealt with another 6 spammers and hundreds on messages.

This is all automated - they just search for forums running certain software and then blast them with automated scripts.
