Aloha everyone -

I'm a musician in Honolulu, I've been freediving for a little over a year, and I've become completely obsessed with it. I'm mostly interested in recreational and competitive freediving - no, I have never competed, but I would like to at some point.

Would love to make new friends and dive buddies. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you'd like to dive sometime - I'm very friendly, [mostly] normal, and a very responsible dive buddy. Specifically, I would like to meet responsible dive buddies who are interested in pushing their limits and increasing their abilities competitively yet safely.

My current PRs are 98.9 ft depth, 5:04 dry static, and 2:31 dive length at about 40 feet deep. Would like to double my depth in the next year and increase my static to 6-7 mins. I'm finally getting around to taking my FII1 course at the end of next month, and I intend to do FII2 the month after that.

So, I guess thats it. Oh, I like to make short freediving videos - they can be checked out on Instagram at ruditrombone, or on Vimeo here: https://vimeo.com/user61843268

Welcome to Deeperblue! Those are some very respectable stats. It would be interesting to hear how things improve after the FII courses. You may want to say hello in the USA/Canada subforum, and reply to other folks from Hawaii. I know we have quite a few, including Bill, the Baron of Breathhold. He's in Kona, if I recall.
