hi,

i am going to greece for a spearfishing trip and I worry to break my carbonfiber spearguns during the travel.
how do you guys protect tour spearguns and shafts when you take a plane?
thanks

Mat,

Use hard PVC pipe, they come in all diameter sizes up to above ur needs. This is the cheapest and best protection next to a hard case of a rifle/fire arm type. Flexible gun bag may be used for the extra protection. Use ur imagination on how to do it.

If u get stuck, let me know, I'll draw u how 2 do it. I did this before, it worked well.

Hey Mat,

One quick little fact if you have a PNEUMATIC gun you must remove all of the air from it in order for it ship via AIR.

Have a great time in Greece buddy.

Be Safe and Hunt Big!!!!!

Mat , most hardware stores will be able to supply you with pvc drainpipes , I found some with threaded ends and caps to seal the ends .Stuff some newspaper ect. in to stop eferything rattling around.

Hey whilst we are on the topic of trtaveling with Spearguns.... Any Ideas not only on how to protect them but how to disguise them... things like spearguns go missing off the baggage trollies over here if the handlers figure out what they are... :naughty :(

Guess it will depend on the level of security in the airports .
I recently strolled through Bankok Intl. with my 145 wrapped in a sarong .:D

I just made my protective cover out of 6" PVC with some end caps...works great...Didn't think of stufing it with newspaper though....think I will do that since my flight leaves in 2 hours...

disquising

just put on some queer and childish stickers all over the casing. :D people would be afraid to touch it, let alone steal it! rofl
