I just got my new pneumatic Seacsub asso fucile 50 cm for my trip to Central America but the seller forgot to send along a line and I don't have time to have one sent before I leave. I went to a diving store in town and got a 220 cm line, but now- comparing it to my regular speargun it seems way too short.
So basically will I have any problems with this short a line? Is there a rule of thumb or something to decide how long the line should be?

I used to do four full wraps, which is too much - too much hassle after the shot. I am down to three wraps now.

so how much line would you say that is?

Sorry, can't answer that as I don't know the exact length of your gun - or rather the distance from the line release to the line "hook" on the muzzle.
But I do three wraps on all my guns these days. Would be interesting to hear what others do.

Depending on the length of the gun and the length of the wrap. I use 3-4 on pneumatics (4 if the gun or wrap length is short). 1-2 on band guns (again 1 on long guns and two on shorter guns).
