Hey guys and ladies!

How much is too much?

I dive 6 days a week, two hours minimum. Am I getting enough rest to hydrate, etc?

I got a feeling Eric from B.C. would know something about this.

Thanks!!

Christian

hi

Mate how the hell do you find 2 hours a day to dive :hmm you must have a pretty damn good job to have that much spare time, lucky you.

cheers

I'm a student who goes to school at the evenings! Also I know I will be leaving this wonderful Cayman Islands so I try to spend much time in nature as I can.

Thanks though!

It depends on what you want to do.

If you are training for a comp,
I suggest give it a rest the week before you compete.

Good rest is essential for you body
to regenerate...

If you are just diving casual, and you get the time, keep diving....

I have seen it several times, that if you train hard,
you reach a peak in performance.
You get disappointed, and take a few days off.
Then you hit the pool again and BAM !
New PB.....

can there ever be too much

Being an instructor of SCUBA I am in the water most of the day EVERY day plus a few hours training for apnea every night. i can tell you that really sometimes you need to get rest ... when the body starts to run down I feel it with immune problems, I start to get more ear infections, respiratory problems etc and once FUNGUS ... :( these things happen after about 5 or 6 months working like this and then I take a few weeks off before starting another season in a different place .....
On the postive side I would n´t change it for anything
