Humos????????????????????? who on this wonderful planet decided to rename HUMMUS and turn it into Humos????????????? LOL :ko just fighting for our version to be over all others. :) :) :) :ko

:hmm

I beg your pardon, but Humos is the correct name in Arabic, and it is an Arabic dish! :ko

It is true that a lot of foreigners usually call it Humus, but that is not the correct name!!!

Did that... but the sundried tomatoes where on the bench and two of them (I was doing 2/3 kg of humus for a party :) ) find they way on to the mix with good results. A short end of parmesan and some fresh basil followed...

At the same time I did two jars of fresh goat cheese on olive oil, garlic, cappers, SD tomato and herbs :p :p :p

It is not exactly the spelling that I am concerned about, it is more of how you pronounce the word!

Hummos or Humos and not Humus or Hummos! :hmm

:ko :girlie

So how is it pronounced?
huh-mm-oss?
huh-mm-ooss?
hoh-mmm-ohs?
hoh-miss?

I've often wondered about that. I've only encountered it in a Morrocan restaurant (which I love!) and knowing how many varients in Arabic pronounciation there are (though not, perhaps, as bad as English) I was never sure what to call it. At least I know better than to call couscous "cuss-cuss". ;)

When considering my point of view:rolleyes: I would crown Harraq Osbao recipe as best arabian dish, as the real spice of arabian cuisines is included in it....

I really love it:kiss:...Its very tasty....:hungover:
