Talked to a guy in the Human Performance Lab at the University of Calgary doing studies on the relationship between time spent in a hypoxic tent (http://www.hypoxictent.com) and performance of high class atheletes.
Has anyone heard of freedivers engaging in this type of activity in the week or so prior to an event to increase performance? more red blood cells -> more oxygen -> longer time underwater??
I am going back to do some preliminary testing of my lung capacity with him and will ask some more questions if anyone has any.
