Hi All,

I have been doing lot's of research since last September.

Turns out, I am the only freediver on my island, which is not exactly small.

Regarding freediving courses and similar, there are 3 (three) centres which offer freediving.

I have been talking to all of them and I receive approximately the same answer from all. Something on this line:

"
We are offering our services in freediving. What we do ??? We have a boat with which we can take you near some beautiful site, ideal for freediving. Then, we let you do your stuff. If you wish to have a companion, we charge it extra, in which case someone of us will scuba-dive with you !!!!!

"

And that is it !!!!!

I am also a member of a gym, where I train 5 (five) days a week and hardly anyone of my friends there is even swimming !!!!

Hence, I have to continue relying on myself and freedive all alone !!!!

Hi!
I live in Cyprus and dive both from the shore and occasionally go out for training with Freedom Freediving by boat from Larnaca. Besides this school, there are two centers in Limassol and two in Protaras. There is a very large group of freedivers of various levels, from beginners to competitive athletes. Competitions are held annually, both in pools and deep water.
Do a more thorough search. Good luck.

I'm with you brother; I live on an island in S Korea, and I am the only freediver here. I have to rely on myself as well, and do so by staying down at only half my capacity, and following all other safety protocols such as adequate surface time between dives.
Stay safe!

Hi Vladimir,

You wrote that you are offering the services of providing the boat or a companion, who is scuba-diving !!!

Now, can you tell me more about Freedom Freediving ?

Hi, Sinisa! Club leader Pavlos Kourtelos, phone number 97878862. The boat departs from the fishing harbor in the mornings. It is fully equipped for comfortable diving, and the beam is equipped with counter-ballast.

Freedivers come to Larnaca for training from Limassol and Nicosia. I live in Nicosia and commute 40 km to the sea. The boat holds eight people, and you need to book in advance, especially on weekends.
Vladimir,

I do not doubt your good intentions. However, you did not reply my question.

I am asking :

How many freedivers do you have in your company, which is named Freedom Diving Center, if I am not wrong ....

Also, can you give me the name of any freedivers who lives in Larnaca ???

I get where you’re coming from, but diving solo really isn’t something to get comfortable with - even experienced guys avoid it if they can.

Calvin, Scott,

I have always free-dived solo, since I was 25 years old. I am now 5 (five) months from being 80 (eighty) years old.

I have dived solo, as I never ever found anybody diving on single breath (that is how we called it many, many years ago).

I was living 600 km away from the sea, so it would take me 15 days of training (which I learned from one small book), until I would dare go deep. Last 25 years I live 600 meters away from the sea, on Cyprus.

When I was 32 years old, I managed to dive out my personal record of 52 meters. It was measured from the boat immediately above.

Now, when I do 30 - 35, I am so happy (read above about my age). I must add that I go to gym every day and do O2 and CO2 exercises.
I enjoy freediving, I like sea life and adore to fill water pressure on my body.

But, I always had one rule (since I dive alone). I dive so that I can always see water surface above me !!!!!!!!!
