As I was reading the Reality Czech, I couldn't help noticeing that as Martin did his deeper dives with fluid goggles they mentioned that that gave him the chance to flood his sinuses in depth and equalise....now am I right to assume that, water equalization is just that?
I am sorry if this is something that shouldn't be discussed on these forums? I did read the thread where there was discussion about advanced tehcniques....

I can't log on with my name..........so I created a new member account...sadly leaving Pekka behind...take two!

That's it

On the button. Basically flood the nasal cavities at depth, which eliminates the need to equalize.

Personally I think negative pressure dives, packing, negative packing etc is more dangerous than water eq. I mean, who in their right mind would push water up their nostrils? I think Ir ead about it in one of Terry's books, but can't be sure.

Of course all the nescesarry warning should go in here. About drowning, going too deep, pushing limits etc etc etc. But IMHO if someone has the ability to go for a 100m CW, but can't because of eq problems, why not find out about Water EQ ??

Not so.

While some divers do flood the sinuses, I don't recommend it. I do my water equalizing with my nose clip still on. I guess you can use your imagination!
