I'm sitting inside my house in marathon (in the keys) with a beautiful boat docked out back, a badass OMER in the closet, and a beautiful ocean in my backyard. Its a wonderful day outside. Why am I not out? because my family members would rather sit outside by the pool doing jack. Personally i'd rather be out stalking jacks on the reef. "im to tired to go out on the boat"
they say. Wasn't able to get a diving partner to come with me this weekend b/c they have work or somthing else. This sucks. I want to go spearing so bad but have no one to go with.

ok, i'm done bitching now. and oh yea, happy 4th to all in the states

I'm in you same shoes right now...

I'm sitting at my computer at work of all places after diving in Hatteras yesterday. after I got spooled completely and lost a wahoo in the blue water. Today I got an invitation to go diving offshore and the marine forecast is calling for light winds.

It's fourth of July weekend...time to spend time with the family right? Oh well :duh

Spearo pimp I feel your pain and it only gets worse after your buddies come back with fish stories.

THe revenge

its ok i had my revenge today, i went out to a patch reef and got some nice fish. a big mangrove and nice spanish mack. (sigh) I feel better.

You are going to hate me - I am on "sabatical" at the moment - yesterday was my first day and I think I racked up about 4 hours in the water. Only found a buddy for the afternoon and she wasn't into spearing so despite seeing plaice and other fish no fish came home.
Nice weather here too - but I have done the desk driving bit for too long - good luck and I am jealous that you have a boat and bigger fish your side of the ocean ! Guess you'll have to motivate the family somehow.
