Thanks for the heads up Trux.
The procedure is not completely clear though. The website specificies
that votes should be sent in writing until Dec 15, while the link
on the "vote here" is simply an email address.

I think it's enough to write an E-mail with your votes, "in writing". It's been like that earlier years. Doesn't have to be a physical letter.

it's all a bit of a strange and contraversial process to be honest - basically the person with the most friends tends to win as its just a case of getting everyone you know to email in your vote! Hence some quite surprising results in the past.....

Yes, already the choice of candidates does not necessarily include all the right people. But that's finally the case at all contests. They could at least call the categories "most popular freediver/revelation/institution/coach/judge" instead of "best". If they are looking for the best, then basing the awards on ranking from competitions (at least at the freedivers) would make little bit more sense.

But well, it's just a contest, not a competition, then frankly who cares about it really?
