El 17 de diciembre en la piscina municipal del Prat de Llobregat, la asociación Apnea Catalunya celebro el II Open Apnea Catalunya. En este evento se practicaron dos modalidades de piscina, la apnea dinámica con aletas y sin aletas, ambas consisten en realizar la máxima distancia posible por debajo del agua con una sola inspiración, una con aletas o monoaleta y la otra sin aletas.
El II Open Apnea Catalunya se ha convertido por segundo año consecutivo en la competición de apnea con más participación a nivel autonómico del año. Volvió a sorprender la cantidad de caras nuevas que participaron en el evento, que además tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender de los más experimentados competidores de nuestro país. Otro aspecto a destacar es la recepción de participantes venidos especialmente para el evento desde Zaragoza, Italia, Francia y Suiza.
El campeonato transcurrió sin incidentes, reinando la cordialidad, compañerismo y buen ambiente. La campeona absoluta, que lo fue en ambas modalidades, fue Mara Torrealba con unas marcas de 103,50m sin aletas y 137,70m con aletas. Se agradece la colaboración de numerosas personas para garantizar la seguridad dentro y fuera del agua, controlar los participantes, validar las marcas, coordinar y asegurar un increíble reportaje fotográfico y video gráfico. En este aspecto se conto con la presencia de Susi Navarro y Siscu Diaz para la fotosub y Ferran Roure en el videosub.
El evento fue organizado por Apnea Catalunya, la joven asociación realiza todo tipo de actividades para potenciar este apasionante deporte sin ningún tipo de ayuda o subvención. El club CASEP, facilitó unas instalaciones estupendas del Ayuntamiento del Prat de Llobregat.
Para los primeros clasificados se repartieron premios económicos gracias a la colaboración de las tiendas Aleteando, Diveinn, Extremo Azul y Plujà. Para el resto de participantes realizo un abundante sorteo de material gentileza de Mares, CarbonTek, C.K.V. Artesanos, Pinces Galerna, Liquid Oceanus, Subprof i el centre de teràpies Ostmön.
