Im a newbie and moving to St.thomas, what do I need to know?

So im moving to st.thomas in a month and thought id get back into freediving. I havent been fdiving in a while, but im excited about living somewhere where I dont have to wear a suit. Ive aleady purchased some picasso black team fins and black team mask....anything else I need(besides gun)? I know certain things are expensive over there so Id rather take care of it here if I could. And that leads into my second question....

Any good dive spots?
