Im going to Sanfran, LA & San Diego - Where to spearfish?

Hey!

I'm going to be in Sanfran, LA and san diego in july. Can any one recommend a spearfishing club/tour who can supply the kit and take me out? Thanks!!!

In San Diego contact Guardian Charters. I'm not sure about full kit but I know they recently bought a big tuna gun for the use of customers. There is a dive shop, James and Joseph, that may rent other equipment.

I just checked with Kyle Faust of Guardian Charters. He tells me that he has guns and some fins, depending on size. Other things can be rented at J&J which is right down the street.

mate, in San Francisco you need to go a bit up north, out of the "Red Triangle" of great white territory.

Check out Stillwater Cove, they have a campground, fish cleaning table, etc. We got a nice ling cod (the spearo's pick in these waters) there last weekend.

You can rent gear from Bamboo Reef in SF and youre welcome to msg me closer to the date if youre interested in going out with us.

Are there any dive sites in LA? Seems like most people boat dive if they're in that area, but I'm not very familiar.

Thanks for the offer. I would have loved to join you. Im only in San fran for 3 nights and its bit far for me to travel for the day. Plus I'm with the wife and kids. Much appreciated though!
