I'm new and I need help!

Hi! I'm 13 (probably the youngest person here) and I just got into freediving, well yesterday after wathching a TV show about it. I would like some tips on how to improve. I was laying in my bed last night and I was able to hold my breath for 1:57s. I guess it's not too bad for a first try. But I desperately need to improve! Any info on how to improve my times would be greatly appreciated. I would also be interested in links to other sites that would offer any tips. Thanx.

Welcome!
I'm pretty new myself, only been coming here for a couple of months now. I started at 1:30, but I'm now up to 3 minutes, you can see a rough diary of my progress here.

As for advice, look through the list of threads in here, reading ones that seem to be of interest, and then just ask about anything you can't find. Everyone's very friendly and helpful, so you should get advice easily enough.

Enjoy yourself and don't drown,
Matt

I hit a new PB!

I read through the forums and remembered the tips. My new PB is 2:25, up from 1:57, that's almost 30 secs (not bad for a day). Thanx! :)
