It looks like it reduces it hugely. Think much more efficient fins, wetsuits that allow faster movement with less effort. Zero to 30 meters in 10 seconds? 500 meter dynamics?

Does the stuff deteriorate rubber?

Its a bit pricy, ~$150 for a quart of both parts(two part product), $35 for a hand spayers and $70 more for the safety equipment(its toxic as heck). That amount should be plenty for any of our uses.

Still, that's cheap if it does what we need it to do. I tried email, but they are apparently swamped, lots of excitement about this stuff.

long chain polymers have been around [and banned] in many sports [i.e. sailing] for quite a long time, maybe this is a practical application from that?

Imagine all your gear covered with that. Water drag would be as low as it could be. Plus when you get out of the water, you are almost dry (I wouldn't cote inside of my wetsuit)

Definitely looks like some amazing stuff!! I see that it's toxic, but would it damage an open cell suit? Or limit the stretch of a suit?
