Hey all,
I (as a technical diver) subscribe to some SCUBA magazines, and found a reference in one recently to a website that may be of some interest to you. TRUX has probably already referenced it--as he has a plethora of good resources--but I'll give you the link anyway. The search should include the words "breath-hold."

Rubicon Research Repository: Home

Sorry if everyone is already familiar with this. I just haven't seen it before.
Cheers,
Billie

Looks good! I think there are still many documents there that I do not have listed. I'l have to write a robot crawling their databse, comparing it with mine and adding those documents not available yet.

Small request, don't crawl us all at once. Our bandwidth is small as the server is at my house. Our contents are pretty basic so far. A good summary of the holdings can be found [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubicon_Foundation"]here[/ame].

billieball - Mind if I ask where you saw the link to us? We have done almost no advertising so hearing that you saw a reference is interesting.

and a couple of suggestions for breath-hold since I don't want to waste everyones time in this post...

Do not worry, all the robot needs to parse to include links to your database, is the page with the search result. Hence it won't put more load to your server than a visitor that runs a single search query. Most of the titles are already included in the Freediving Media Base, so there won't be any load necessary.

There is currently ~550 documents related to breath-hold physiology listed in the Freediving Media, so it may interest you too: documents medical @ APNEA.cz

New documents appear regularly and automatically in the RSS feed APNEA.cz: Freediving News - keyword: cat:medical, so it may help you keeping your database up-to-date too.

Hey Gene! It's nice to meet you (albeit virtually). My husband, Todd, found an article in SCUBA Diving magazine, May 2008, p. 43. You guys get kudos from the editors. Hope you didn't mind my linking your site on here...

VERY nice! Thank you for the link. Building that database was no small task and great to see the initiative!

This is excellent! Our project encompasses environmental physiology and is not limited to a specific topic so I am happy to see a more targeted search. The Rubicon Review

Nice to meet you as well! And thanks for the link, we need this kind of exposure as well as links from peoples personal sites to grow but we have not really had time for much yet. (We all have real jobs and do this when we have time) I'll have to go grab that copy to see what it said. Thanks again!
