Interested in learning Free Diving....(any classes close to Iowa?)

Hi:

I'm a decently experienced SCUBA diver which I love, but hate scaring away fish with all the bubbles from the gear.

My wife and I are interested in learning free diving as we will be going on a trip to Hawaii some time in October.

Is there a class reasonably close to Iowa--we live outside the Quad Cities...

We don't mind driving for a bit, but making a class more than four hours away will probably be a bit much.

Is there anything we can do to prepare before any classes?

And, we only have SCUBA related equipment so we will have to rent anything really specialized or just use our current gear...

Hi Joe,

I too am new to FreeDiving and I am thinking of going to the F.I.I. Level 1 class in Wisconsin next month. Looks like it will be about 3.5 hours from me in the Milwaukee area; probably not too much further from the Quad cities as its on the West side of the state.
