The International Silesian Freediving Cup will be held on 4th and 5th December 2010 at the Sports and Recreation Swimming Pool Center in Rybnik.
The two-day competition will include all indoor pool disciplines, and for the first time in Poland, a team competition. It is an international event with AIDA status both ranking and World Record!!
Disciplines:
Static apnea (STA)
Dynamic without fins (DNF)
Dynamic with fins (DYN)
To qualify in the team competitions, the team must consist of 3 members, a minimum of one being a woman.
This condition is intended as a promotion of sport freediving among females.
To further entice you to bring in ladies into your teams, I would like to add that it is this category that the most valuable prizes will be awarded.

To compete you must:
-read the rules of competition ( Rules bookmark)
-register through Register bookmark (choose between options: individual/team , if registering a team, you must provide team name )
-pay the registration fee to the following account:
Freediving Poland SWIFT ID : CITIPLPX account nr: 43 1030 0019 0109 8530 0007 5882 with annotation: Silesian Cup
Registration fee is:
100 PLN (Polish zloty) – for Freediving Poland members, 125PLN for all other competitors of Polish nationality, and 40 Euro for foreigners.
The deadline for both registration and fee payment is 20th Nov 2010.
Due to the time limitations, the number of participants is limited to 45 regardless of nationality.
Enrollment is on a first come first served basis.
The event is open to the public, everybody is most welcome –not only freedivers!
While at the reception desk you must present :
1. valid medical certificate stating ability to dive (it may be annotation within your dive book)
2. valid ID or passport,
AND must sign the liability form.
On Saturday evening, after completing the first day of competition, we are going to have a dinner or even a Silesian style fest ;).
Closing ceremony and awards presentation will take place on Sunday.

Easy registration at http://rybnik.free-diving.pl/

Goran – super, we will talk about it tomorrow in Wiesbaden

BR Radek

Yes the dates have now been corrected :)
but for most foreigners (I am interested) it
would be useful to have also registration, accomodation
and info on how to get there in English....

Because of the strong interest, we decide to increase the limit of participants to 48 persons.

This is a final number of participants we can accept.

See you in Rybnik

To bad Eric is not attending this competition, coz we will already had resullts from all athletes and possible winner(s). :)

One question, when will start list be online?

Tnx

Goran, I be ready for you with a white card (as did you ever had a different color?).....<LOL> so after clearing the white card issue, all is left is the distance on sunday!

Good luck to all.......!!!!!

Pim

Pim, do I have to dive at all? :)

No big distances, just fun diving this time, I'm done with training and frustrations for this year. But I hope we will see one long dive on sunday after all ;)

Seya there!

I don't think we will see start list before Saturday.

After control of swimming pool, water temperature is increased to ~29C. People on our forum are saying that yesterday it was 28,8C.

regards,
Matt

Tnx mattbigblue, still hope we will see starting list at Friday at least... people like to know when they are starting the next day for many reasons...

Do you know what kind of weather you expected in Poland for weekend?

Possibly there will be registration open on Friday, so there is a chance You will see starting list on Friday, but it's just my guess... What I know about starting list for DNF is that it will be available on Saturday evening.

It's cold here right now, in Cracow it's -11 :blackeye. During the weekend it should be warmer but not so much. During the night it still will be far below 0C and during the day maybe around -3C :)

Nice comps :)
So far, Goran Colak is best male competitor, 8'02" and 200 m DYN.
Tomorrow is DNF.

Ha! Goran did a DYN swim in an AIDA competition?! Was the CMAS restriction forbidding AIDA athletes already abolished, or did he decide not to start in any CMAS competition this season? Or is the ban just for the calendar year, not the season?

Congrats anyway!

Please tell the organizers to send the results to ivo AT apnea.cz and to aidaranking AT gmail.com as soon as possible. They can even send intermediate results right now, and the final officially approved ones later. Spreadsheet format preferred.

Hi to all, we are finally back in Croatia and are on a plus side of a thermometer scale...
Poland competition was really nice and town of Rybnik is nice, some of our guys thinking about buying the land over there :)

Yeap Dajana did a nice DNF swim, coming just short of that WR again. It's interesting that we have 3 girls doing distance in a range from 157m to 159m but neither of them manage to brake Natalia's WR... But again this pool was not the best for anyone taller then 160cm coz the depth of one side was 100cm... other side was ok with 180cm, but again its hart to be neutrally buoyant when there is 100% of depth change every 25m.

For my part, I did not plan to do any long dynamic swims, because I am taking a brake form diving right now, did hope to do a nice static do.. but I gave it up at around 8min when I saw that I will not be able to do what I was planing to do. After that i was just taking a bath in DYN and DNF...

How come you think Rybnik is a place to buy a property?
But good to hear you made it safely to home.
If 200m DYN and 175 DNF are not a long distance, I would love to see you beating Mullin's records :).
Cheers from Poland
