I have small job to finish today , if everything goes to "plan" ... i will give you shout in afternoon . in meanwhile i can get some baits - what are you using for a bait ?
Spearfishing. Might use a rod to find the fish first. The dives will be over 10m as it's spring tide. Leaving Cobh @ 9am.
Tomorrow is rod fishing due to fog. Not wise going in the water on springs in fog. Might catch dinner afterall!!

fog can roll in very fast and a spring current rips hard... Easy to loose your self and have no sight of boat.
the alternative plan was to fish with rods... but baldy had daddy issues

Ya wat bobdonny said. Very disorientating in fog when on the water and more so in the water. I wouldn't want to be responsible for getting anyone lost or hit by a boat.
A very successful days rod fishing with bobdonny after a late start
We fished a few spots until we found a gem of a spot with a huge amount of cod. Largest 9lb and nothing under 4lb!! It may be a wreck by the shape on the sounder so must get my bottles out and have a look......
At one stage I hooked 2 cod, a 6lb and a 4 lb.
A great day. Glad we left the wetsuits behind as the swell was big and vis was zero.
Fish caught: 4 pollock, 2 whiting, 1 grey gurnard, 8 cod and a John dory(courtesy of a seagull!)
So there are big cod out there. We only fished this mark for under an hour so I can only imagine how big they could be!!
Anyway just had a lovely dinner of breaded cod with sweet potato, carrot and broccoli.

I did go to release 1 when I had enough for dinner and the freezer but bobdonny assured me that he would manage to eat him! Maybe it was the huge eyeballs for his daughter......
