, There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

We'll meet you in Limerick and Blindfold you…from there it should be a 2/3 hour drive…. Then when you are kitted up and face down in the water we will remove the blindfold 
Seriously, I don't know which exact spot myself, Pedro has a few idea's but I expect we will wait till closer to see what way the wind blows. It'll be on the beara pensuilisa in west cork… wherever the fish are
But I suppose it’s a good idea if Pedro gives us some idea so we can sort accomodation etc...

I've a few spots where there are fish.....weather looks like it's calming on fri so hopefully sat is on the same trend.

If not to much hassle,I was camping in Eagle Point in Bantry many times,facilities are fantastic.Lot of pollack,but I was fishing not hunting at the time...

First of all and again to clarify about what are we talking about lads, for those ones just wondering:
Event: - Deeperblue Ireland Spearfishing Forum Weekend
Where: - Beara Peninsula, Co. Cork, Ireland (possible areas depending the conditions Allihies, Billeragh or Loughane Beg - all of then searchable by Google Earth)
When: 27th and 28th of August 2011
Current water temperature: 18.9oC Irish Tides Ports
Objective: Putting together friend with the same passion, sharing knowledge, technics, experiences inside and outside water.... and eventually trigger fishes and amberjacks
Everybody is more than wellcome, from forum user to friends of forum users, conditions are excellent for all spearo levels, visibility is usually outstanding (+10/15 meters usually).
So far I would try to do an early check up about who´s going, if I´ll be wrong let me know... so far we have:
- Bobdonny;
- Baldyfish;
- Danas;
- ClimbingPerch;
- Vasile;
- Plbenza

I'll be bring the missus as well and she will be bring her long fins and might even get into the ocean... if not she may go shopping and have coffe with yours

I think that my lady is not going, she is going to work on that weekend....althought we will see...! That´s a great place of families, nice and quiet, a true lost paradise in Ireland really
... and nearby the only cable car in Ireland in Dursey island, the place, Pullen Harbour when they film "Ondine" (and Castletownbere as well), for me it´s really a great great place... Maybe one of this days I´ll loose my mind and I´ll set a fishing lodge complex with spearfishing, fishing and other sea activities...!I think that my lady is not going, she is going to work on that weekend....althought we will see...! That´s a great place of families, nice and quiet, a true lost paradise in Ireland really

We can have courses and teach people like Baldy and regan how to catch decent sized pollock No way am I bring a family there... but if your lady is not going, I guess mine will spend more time in the water, no sweat
:fridayEDIT@Wow... Sat just got CRAP on windguru... It went from 4kph winds and no rain to 40kph winds and 10mm/hr rainfall...

Definitely smell the competition hotting up now..... I will award a very nice bottle of wine to anyone you can bag a gurnard or John Dory :martial. I don't own a tent but looking at Pedros enormous list of accommodation looks like there are plenty of options. I will be there taking lucky long range shots in the shallows just to vary it up a bit

What size mullet do peps think it would take to win the mullet gun 8-9lb maybe??????? I've seen a few monsters around Dublin in the last few weeks !!!

I usually get up at 6.30 or 7.00... So feel free to send a sms anytime after getting out. I´ll carry things to the my front door... For obvious technical reasons I´ll not take the magical cooler box...

Funny you should say that I saw some huge lance in dalkey on tuesday I was wondering how hard it would be to hit one and not have it exploderoflrofl !6-7lb eh that's do-able :martialI'll also offer up a very cheap bottle of stella to anyone who can shoot a launce
I'd say any mullet in the 6-7lb catagory could be a contender
Its grand with a 6mm spear and single band small gun. I shot one last year but then.... the stringers were not designed for them... Impossible to fit through the gills so I strung it through the spear hole and needless to say it was not there 15minutes later...
Dunno about the mullet the do not grow as big as a bass, and anything over 5lb is consider specimen in Irish waters... Record is at 9lb... compare that to a bass with a specimen being over 10lbs and the record at 17?
I've had a 9lb and 9.5lb bass and 4.5mullets never beaten the specimen in either...
