I bended my gun on a rock recently. The gun doesn't even shoot straight anymore so I can give up my robber. It is used but only two times and smells funny. Pm my for more info

I wouldn't be overly concerned about that article Rob they were not using spearguns and its actually an ancient method of poaching Salmon. I remember watching a series years ago with Jack Charlton travelling around Ireland fly-fishing, they got special permission to show how salmon were caught at the turn of the century. They rowed a small boat out into a large pool holding Salmon then they shone a firestick over the water and hey presto up came the Salmon, thats as far as they went but before there would have been another man holding a long handled fork similar to a trident and he would "spear" the Salmon.
It still annoys the hell out of me that people are attempting this now with stocks so low, but its good to see a prosecution and a hefty fine. I can't see the picture at the bottom of the piece with the "custom made equipment" though just noticed that now can anyone else see it???
For once we are getting it good up here while you boys have bad vis etc.
got my best plaice so far on sat, 2.5 lb, 46cm long.
pollock up to 7lb being speared at minute.
was inside a bait ball on monday - ended up with four pollock that were attacking it...
going again within the hour...
I know I am going to regret this when our vis goes bad and yours clears up and sunfish etc start flashing photos of 10lb plus pollock but anyway will enjoy it for now. rofl :wave

I am here in the United States in San Diego. Sounds like u had fun and the pics are nice. I was curious, since it is colder there in your neck o the woods, what type wetsuits do you use? 7MM? Sometimes I use a Ripcurl 4-5-6 with attached hood but at night for lobster I use a MM. Thanks for sharing brother!

Great to see some fish being caught again. I was out yesterday and again today and only managed one flounder of 1.5lb. The viz was cruel, some parts I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. The only spot with 2 metres of viz I could see what I thought was a white rock in front of me but when I looked up it was a seal about 2 metres ahead of me, funny though, neither of us got spooked this time and he followed me around for about half an hour. He stayed between 10-15 metres away from me but was swimming behind and to the side of me. When I decided to get out he followed me to 10 metres from the shore which had less than 1 metre of water. Needless to say I didn't even see a fish.
