Ireland Spearing 2012

I was in for 90 mins this afternoon. I saw plenty of bass but nothing else. I shot one for the pot. Nothing special sizewise, just an eater!

Myself and Neal were in today vis about 6-8m max surprisingly as there was a big swell here on Mon/Tues only a couple of reasonable sized pollock but were easy spooked. We just missed the massive pollock and 2ft lobster that we left so we have no photos of them.

It´s great to see you again in the water Neal! Let´s keep up the great form and consistency now for the great days that we will have ahead Nice pics Feargus. Should you start thinking about the spearos meeting in Mullagmore this year again? If you have the opportunity to invite Prannie to give us some tips about edible seaweed we will pay in fidh (if we got any....)

I reckon Cork is the place for cocaine, sure they had tonnes of it washed up a few years back and the half of it wasn't declared. Prob a few bales between Rob and Johnny.

Ha ha haaa... That will teach those inquisitive amberjacks - come and take a look at those awkward-looking scuba divers at your own peril, because they might be packing steel.

I've always thought those videos in UAE/Florida/etcwhere guys shoot AJs and other pelagics on scuba look a bit silly. It must be tough trying to deal with a pissed-off fish, with a tank, BCD, reel gun and sea scooter...

Thats why we fish so well... we spotted a bail and head for it every dive... the bass, pollock and lobsters are high and hanging around it and we just scoop em up
