Hi everyone,

I saw a tv program last night that had featured Pippin.

They mentioned that his DAILY training regiment was :

-1.5 hours of running (they showed him going up rocks)

-Hours of weight training (I assume that is more than 2 )

-hundreds of underwater laps

-yoga and meditation...

I was intruiged and skeptical. That is certainly alot of physical training for the body to handle on a daily basis.

Does anyone know if this is true?

or

Can anyone tell me where on the internet (or in a book) I can find his training routine?

Thanks to all in advance

Peter

Pipin's Training

I did not see the progam, so I couldn't comment on it. I do know that Pipin, when NOT in training, does do 10 -12 mile runs and weight training on the order of what you've recounted. Other top freedivers I'm acquainted with, when training up for an event,
put in 6 or more hours daily in gym, pool and running. Pipin is
probably not different from the others in this regard. It is usually
a fair bet, thought, that when technical details are reported by
non-expert print or bradcast media people, there are plenty of
inaccuracies and/or omissions.

Thanks for replying Pkotik,

It sounds like alot of training!

You mentioned that other top freedivers do that same quantity of work.

Where can one get such info? I've looked at bio's of many of them and they don't usually have a daily training routine.

Peter :)
