JBL guns, any good?

Exatly what the title says are jbl guns any good?

Also how about ab biller?

Oh, big can of worms! Everyone play nice now lol.
Decent gun, reliable, bit noisy and too heavy for freediving. A 4x4 pickup truck of a gun so to speak, compared to the Euro Ferraris.
If you get a used one cheap then do it to get started, but I'd say if you're going to spend a few hundred bucks, then upgrade. The RIFFE is a great American gun for example.

Well pretty much im looking for a gin i can use while freediving that can get me started out ok.

I started with one and shot lots of fish with it and so will you. But once I got a better gun, I'd never go back.

Should i start out with a 90ish? The only speargun i have ever shot was a 55 pneumatic.

I guess it depends on what you shoot and what the vis is like where you are. A 90 is a good size, though I prefer my 75 OMER for manueverability (sp).

Ok, ya, after i posed that i was thinking 75, should i start out with the reg model or spring for an HF. Do i need a reel?

IMO stick with a regular model, and don't bother with a reel. Not necessary for most spearfishing, and really (pun intended) a pain in the ass unless absolutely necessary. But that's me.

That would be me too Erik. Most if not all of the european guns are good weapons, they extra refinements aren't always needed especially in bad vis which you seem to have. Going by what I read about your local water the other day I might wonder if a 75 was too long too, remember that the shaft length is 115cm ~ 46" add that to the length of your arm, will you be able to see the tip?
