Kevlar Polespears and inverted roller by Black Reef Co

Hello everyone!

My name is Quade Kirby, I am an engineering prodigy at the University of Miami and avid spearfisherman(Freediver).

Over this summer I started my own company, Black Reef Co, and developed my personal line of custom Carbon Kevlar polespears. I was never really satisfied with my equipment when frequenting the Bahamas, so I decided to just develop my own line of hardened equipment.

The most noticeable features of my polespears are the pultruded Carbon injector, titanium key ring, and simple construction.

I am also developing an “inverted roller polespear”. Would love to hear your questions or thoughts.

Hey Quade,

I ve seen your inverted rollerpoller... That’s awesome.
Pictures are rare would you mind posting some?
I could imagine it flies a touch better than a traditional roller as the rubber mass is located more towards the center of gravity??
What's your experience so far?
Inverted needs a thicker rubber i would Guess...Do you give it some pretension?
