So I take it you are in the Air force??? There is a huge spearfishing population out here at the base. Get in good with the locals and they can tell you all the good fishing spots. Don't succomb to the crappy american spots like Salga Bay, Praia and Angra. Villanova sucks also.

Hey there. I will be once again at Lajes in March 08. I learned to scuba dive there back in 1996. I would love to get back into scuba diving again, that's one of the reasons I put in to go back there. I wonder if Herb Hodgeman is still around there...
