Line going over the top

Hi guys, I'm interested in putting a reel onto my gun after it locked into some rocks and the fish I had on ripped off but the problem I have is the once the gun is fired my line goes over the top of the rubbers, will this be a problem?, The gun I'm using is a cressi cherokee

are you sure you rigged it right? Hard to see from picture (fuzzy), what do you mean, I can't visualize how line can go over the top of rubber? Please elaborate
