This is probably a funny question for General Freediving, but why are the little envelopes next to the threads not all the same? I don't mean the firey ones for 'hot' threads. There seem to be two different kinds, independent of whether they are firey or not. The key at the bottom of the page only shows one of them.

Is it something to do with the content of the thread? Maybe threads are sorted into "worth reading" and "not worth reading"! ;)

Mostly guessing here:
Flaming envelope = a lot of discussion (views and replys)
Normal envelope = "normal thread"
Dotted envelope = a lot of views, not that many replys

The "stars" are used for rating threads in terms of "worth reading or not". That works (again, guessing) by letting people with enough Karma to rate threads.

Dotted

I think the dot means you have a post on that thread. I haven't read that anywhere, but it seems to be the case.

Thanks Jome and Jeff - I think it does mean that I have a post on that thread.
