Looking for a spear fishing buddy

Hey guys,

I'm just starting out spearfishing, but, I don't love diving solo, just incase I get into trouble for some reason.

Anyone dive regularly in the Sydney area? Would love some tips and to dive with experienced people.

I'm using a handspear until I get the hanging of it (so I won't accidentally shoot anyone haha).

Really, I prefer diving solo but each to their own. I've moved the thread to the Oz buddy/regional area of the forum but left a temporary link at the original location in the Beginner Spearing section.

There are several very active spearfishing clubs in Sydney with social dives, monthly meeting & competitions.
