looking for freedive book!!

Hi

I have a good teacher in greece,who i do lessons with,but sometimes
I want to look after something,and the book is in greek.After one year of
leaving here it makes me tired sometimes to understand some words!
Can I find student books somwhere on the internet??

It is not a need,but sometimes makes it easier!!

Hi Pufferhal. I'm a newcomer too so you will find far more experienced opinions here. The Manual of Freedivinng by Pelizzari is by far the most famous but didn't find it that useful. Maybe with time i will change my opinion.
If you need a reference of acronyms jargon etc here is a useful link. Term
I'm Greek native speaker so feel free to send PM if you need something.

if you take a course you will likely get a good manual with it but the pelizzari book is the only thing that is really published for a mass distribution, a good book to have

Quick search of Vancouver Piblic Library brought one other book - "Freedive!" by David Sipperly and Terry Maas. Does anybody know anyting about authors? I will borrow ir anyway, can't be too much info . oops, darn, its not available

There are couple other ones I can see through Amazon, Complete guide to freediving by Terry Maas, a few spearfishing books - I would guess they must have something on breath holding.

I think the maas stuff is more for the spearo market, as books go I think the Pelizzari book is the most comprehensive---if your in canada I'd just take a PFI course they will give you a huge course book and thow you how to use it, you cant beat first hand instruction from champions

PFI - signed up two or three times and never made it due to work schedule. Last time I was in such "zeitnot" and totally forgot to let them know I am not coming, and them PFI folks charged me dearly. I wish I bought all most expensive books instead, would probably be still cheaper.

Try this:

"Deep Freediving: NTStyle Techniques for Successful Adaptation to Depth" by Marcus Greatwood

its just out literally in the last few days and Amazon don't have any in stock yet but I believe they will soon.

Marcus has trained Herbert Nitsch amoungst others so I think it'll have some good stuff.
