I’m fairly new to freediving — I completed my AIDA 2* last year and I’ve really fallen in love with the sport, its atmosphere, and the people in it. It’s been an incredible journey so far!
Recently, I was at my instructor’s house and noticed an old issue of Freediver Magazine lying on the shelf. According to the cover it used to run as the official magazine of AIDA, and that really piqued my interest. As a historian by training, I naturally got curious and started digging around online for more information.
I’ve managed to find a few scattered infos (including some threads here in the forum), but it’s all pretty vague. I’d love to know more about the magazine’s history — things like:
Does anyone here have digital or physical copies they’d be willing to share or sell? I’d be super interested in reading some of them and possibly even preserving/scanning them for archival purposes if people are open to that.
Would be great to hear from anyone who remembers the magazine or has more details!
