Hello, my name's Paul I'm 38 and currently live in Cornwall UK. I'm looking for work at a freedive school in return for qualifications up to instructor. I have spearfishing experience, and I've been surfing for over 25 years. I used to work as a beach lifeguard/rescue boat driver for the Royal National Lifeboat institute here in the UK. I've sailed across the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans and have a Yachtmaster Offshore and advanced powerboat qualification which I aim to get commercially endorsed soon to allow me to take passengers on a commercial basis. I'm also a qualified carpenter if that's of any use to anyone. Winter is looming here in the UK and I want OUT!!! Anywhere but here considered!......thanks for reading.

Have you spoke with Ian Donald from FreediveUK? He is based in Newquay.
There aren't many in the SW that do it, if any at all. I just did my AIDA 3* with Ian and his instructor Richard Marsh at the start of September, both fantastic guys who I would work with in a heartbeat.

The PFI schools in Thailand and Dahab do "internships" (according to their website) which let you 'work' but you can get up to the one before your instructors one. I'm sure if you ask around and give them a ring you'll be able to sort it out.
So while you do your internships you will also get to do all your qualifications. I think it's a three month internship
I'm going to Thailand in jan to do this. I don't know if they've filled their places yet for the new year. But they have them every three months. It's a school called blue immersion in koh Tao. You can apply on their website and Flo is really helpful and efficient at getting back in touch. Good luck!
