I'm very new to this and im a bit confused on tables and starting out for breath hold. My main problem is that I just can't get through more than 3 or 4 contractions. Which table will be most beneficial to lower or remove contractions or is it both...also...what else can I do to avoid/get through these? Besides relaxing?
Any replies are greatly appreciated!

To best handle contractions, try doing your breath-hold in a sitting position. Resist the contractions by closing your throat and gently tensing your diaphragm and applying exhale pressure gently against your closed throat. Swallow occasionally.

When the contractions come, touch your chin to your chest, and maintain tension in the diaphragm. Bring the contractions voluntarily if you can, to ease the suffering.

Another thing you can try is to drink the juice from 3 lemons mixed with water and some sugar, 1 hour before your breath-hold.

It does get easier, most beginners find it very difficult to get through more than a few contractions. Doing tables does help, with some training the contractions should come later and be easier to tolerate.
