I'm glad your glad.

I've never laid eyes on the guns, and I've read pros and cons on Spearboard, but I've never heard anything but compliments about his service and backing up his products. Here is an example.

There is a recent thread on SB about various Mako products. I posted saying that a little spring on my stringer had corroded off, so now the thing that holds the stringer in its keeper doesn't work, and its unusable. I got a PM from Dano (Mako owner) offering to replace the stringer (I think it cost something like $26.95) or give me a $40 gift certificate. I replied that is was no big deal, and not necessary to give me anything. He wouldn't take no for an answer, so I said "what the hell, send me a $25 weight belt" since guys were saying good things about them.

Then two days ago I was on my boat, out of the water between stops, and Dano calls me on the cell phone asking if I'm sure I don't want more than a belt. I said no, but he said he was including a couple of springs for the stringer. And since one other guy had reported the same problem, he was now going to include a spare spring with every stringer and list them on his web site.

It didn't occur to me while I was talking to him, but I think I already threw away the stringer, but its the thought that counts.

This guy really seems to go out of his way to back up his products, and I want to make sure others hear about it. If he was hoping I would mention it, that's fine too. That's why good service is the cheapest advertising a company can buy.

Yeah i spent over an hour on the phone with Dano helping me to choose the right gun, he through in a bunch of stuff for free and even sent it 2 day air to get it here on time because the shaft came in too late. He was like talkin to a buddy not an online ordering store, really cool. I've got him a couple more orders comin up, because after i let the buds try it they were sold as well. you cant beat the warranty or the service. Im going to order a 90 for hunting the reef s and rock piles for the sandies and halibut.

I have heard nothing but good stuff about mako and there customer service. If there is a problem with any of there products I hear they make right immediately. I think other companies such as riffe and Omer should take some notes. Glad you got a good gun. What size shaft does it come stock with?

Yeah they couldnt be better and i agree other companies need to do everything they can to make sales right now. The shaft is 7.0mm and its the new low profile shark fins, not the pin tabs you see on the website, way better. I would of bought that Sporasub One 105 right of the bat if i could of got a little more info and customer service, so snooze ya loose i guess! The Mako is sweet way sweet!

What happen ?
Omer did not reply to your questions ? Not to take any merit from Mako but OMER costumer service is excellent here in America.
The one shaft still worth looking into, the flopper ring works really well, I just wish they have a 7mm option.

Just caught this thread and see that the gun question has already been settled, but thought I'd throw in my experience with Mako...

I've had the Oceanic Pro 110 with twin 16mm bands for about 6 mos and it has been impeccable. So far I've taken grouper up to 35# and spanish mackerel up to about 25# and numerous other species here in the Arabian Gulf.

When I ordered the gun I also picked up a 1.5mm wetsuit but when I received it I wasn't happy with the fit. I spoke to Dano and he immediately sent me a replacement size at his expense BEFORE I had sent the original one back (I live in Dubai - Not exactly "around the corner".)

Mako's service is unbelievable. Dano really does go out of his way to take care of his customers.
