Hey there

''Mares Californian''
Do you guys know anything about this gun?
Is it very old? Is it a mares frontiersman?
I have a cyrano pump would it work on this gun?

I searched around could not find any info on the net.:rcard

Thanks
Ben

I think in the 1980's in increasing size the Snubnose, Shorty, Californian, and Frontiersman were the names used for the Sten. Download English version of Mares Sten Manual. It uses an 8mm shaft. Unscrew the green plastic screw on the back and see if the Cyrano pump has the same threading. Use some 5-10wt fork oil for the piston o-ring.

You can use the same pump for both guns. The is Californian is the same as a 85cm Sten. You should be able to find the service manual online for the Sten guns but if you can't I could email one if you send me a PM.
