Fairly certain you bought a gun thats meant to be put on the wall and displayed. If you arae dead set on killing fish with it then you will probably need to take it apart and do some repairs on it. If you are wanting a good reliable pneumatic, Seac or Mares Sten are both good guns and can be found pretty cheaply on craigslist.
