Marlin for food

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Back to the original thread "Marlin Steaks" good or bad.

My wife and I used to buy Marlin (blue?) at the fishmarket in Newport R.I. Evidently it was harvested in the pacific and was coming from California. With a good marinade and a hot grill.. I'd put it right up there with my favorites..swordfish.. tuna !!! Very good eating fish.. and I'm kind of fussy.
 
try to toss some marlin steaks in the grill along with a couple of yellow and red peppers, serve with coconut rice and some slices of mango, kiwi and some bannas you will see ...
 
Marlin is a big word, there is diferent taste on the diferent species, the only ones I have tasted that are no good is the ones taken by RodNReel and let on the sun for hours, obviously the owner have no intention on eating it and are just more worried at the weight of the fish and at the pics.
