I just see on the Freediving News Feed on my website that Francisco Gautier announced on his blog an interesting freediving training camp on Menorca:

http://oceancolors.blogspot.com/2008/06/menorca-freediving-training-camp_3141.html

From july the 8th until august 15th 2008, oceancolors will be running a training camp for deep freediving.

The camp will be supervised by Francisco Gautier from Oceancolors in partnership with Sea Gypsy Divers based in the little creek of Calla Galdanna, in the west part of Menorca, in the Balearic archipelago.

One month and half with excellent conditions for pure deep freediving. Right in the middle, between Spain and Corsica, Menorca is said to have one of the purest waters of the Med. Only 15 minutes out of the center we get over 120 meters of deep and crystal waters. During that period, safety will be our main concern.

This camp is mainly for those who will be training for the AIDA worlds ( sept 2008 in Sharm el Sheikh ), for experienced freedivers who wish to break national records or even for those wanting to improve in depth by training with some of the most experienced freedivers of the circuit.

There, you will find :

Swimming pool
7 m 50 RIB with 225 VC fully equipped for freediving.
Training device for driting conditions
Training device for training without current
2 resuscitators + 02 kit
AIDA International judge E
Bottom camera
Surface camera
10 persons maximum per training
