Has anyone here tried the Molchanov monofins?
If so, how are they compared to other brands?

Since no one else has responded here, I can share what I know, though I haven't used one myself. I did some diving with someone who was using a Molchanov monofin and shot some video, so I'll share that with you here.

The girl with the Molchanov monofin likes her fin. Although, I have to say that after a few hours in the water the day we shot these videos, she had to duct tape her feet to make prosthetic skin on her heels and toes to repair the damage to her feet. That said, I think they are generally regarded as one of the best brands, or the best brand available (if you can get your hands on one).

We also shot another video that day that was a bit more entertaining and also had some performance metrics intrinsically embedded in it even though we were not specifically diving for performance. You can see this video and the corresponding analysis laid out in this post on DeeperBlue: https://forums.deeperblue.com/threads/extreme-dolfinism-g2.100667/page-10#post-939118

I have one.It is super comfortable and feels very natural, but also gives you a amazing propulsion even when sprinting.I believe the magic is in the footpockets.Rubber is very soft and thin at the end and gets gradually strong and rigid closer to the blade.I have rather stiff blade, but it's not numbered or something. You just give your profile to Alexey and he will pick the right stiffness for you. They say he knows a bit about the monofin freediving ;) Anyway,I recommend it fully.Take a look on video.I slightly exagerrated with the amplitute here,it was an experiment, but maybe you get an idea of how it works.
