It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Yes mate, the bolts are araldited in those holes which has sealed the edges.
 
I love the design of those C4 guns and look forward to hearing of your experiences with it and how it handles. I never cease to be amazed the ingenuity of the Guerns and, as Pastor said, you had some big brass balls drilling an expensive carbon fibre gun like that. I would have stuck with the plastic croc. clip (although I would probably snap it off before long) or Foxfish's rubber tech approach (a fine mix of high-tech & low tech?:D).
