OK, so I've got the answer from Patrick Musimu. Unfortunately he tells that at this moment he cannot comment yet on the video aired by the French TV, and on his plans. He only told me I can publish that he is currently looking for a partner for a tandem No Limit project. He is open to any serious proposals. Both male and female freedivers are welcome. The tandem sled attempt will most likely be done in Montenegro, and a training session is planned shortly in Dahab, Egypt.

Why do the training in a different place, even a different continent than the final attempt?

Well, I have no idea, but at such attempts sponsors usually play a very important role, so possibly he cannot speak about it yet.

mmm so the tandem idea is back is it... he was working on that a few years ago, I was VERY flattered to be asked. Maybe Sara C should go for it, it will be a big news story for sure if it comes off.

I received another email from Patrick Musimu - he writes that he was in Nice for vacations, and just used the Zodiac of CIPA for some fun dives with their sled. He accepted the interview, but to his astonishment, the resulting report was a collage of sentences about several topics taken out of context, where they transformed his recreational dives at CIPA in Nice into training for the WR attempt, and they also fixed the depth to 220 meters.

In conclusion he tells the TV report is nothing than a false rumor. He will inform us about his future freediving plans.

Sorry Trux I didn't show some nicely formulated questions;
But 'm happy Patrick already cleared up some media mud.

I was wandering why after the Loic history, and quitting of sled record attempts, what did motivate to help and support Musimu. But now 't clear, it's just a vacation, with maybe a grain of training in it.

On the other hand the tandem dive concept is nice too, but what would the goal(s) be?

Has he got any plans for a future improvement of his own freedive records, NL including other records like VWT CWT FIM CNF etc?

Would Patrick consider tandem NL diving with Herbert Nitch?

I'm sure refinements can be made, bring it on people, questions for Patrick!

Well, the tandem with Herb is indeed a good question. Perhaps he'd agree, and perhaps Herb too, but making the first step forward, and asking the rival may be a hurdle. And I guess, if he is really going to Sharm shortly, he will likely meet Herbert there, so who knows what happens!
