I'll think you'll like the combination of superstretch outer & the new black coating inside.
I have the same & it is holding up real well & very easy to slip into.

Hey, you'll be just as warm with the blk. coating inside reguardless as long as the suit FITS you like a GLOVE..

You think kneepads will be a good idea? Or is the superstretch enough protection for a slightly rough bottom? (I don´t expect to be down there very much).

roflUh oh... I just ordered an open cell and its my first suit.

I just got an email and Elios has finished the suit faster then what they told me .

I will try and get some pictures of the damage caused by the first wear. That is if I can even get into it rofl.

I wouldn't worry Morg, especially if it's Heiwa medium-dense... this is tough stuff, and as long as you take your rings off, watch your nails, and lube well, you'll be fine.

My daughter has rainbow stitching on hers. Another friend of mind has blue - it looks cool.

You can select the colouring of the thread? I never knew that... when I asked for a blue suit it came back with a picture of yellow thread. Glad I didn't order that type of suit now . I just got the normal black suit for now.

Thanks Erik, I can't wait to test out the suit. I've only used crappy suits that hardly fit me. I was shivering in Hawaiian waters rofl....

the only hassle with open cell is that you have to lube it before wearing, and pay attention to cuts and tearings (easy to self-repair with newprenic glue).

I don't know that I've ever heard of newprenic glue. Is this something new? Or are you referring to regular neoprene glue?

I now have ordered a open cell with new black coating on inside and superstretch outside. I guess it´ll last longer and be easier to put on. Maybe I lose a little warmth but then I´ll just have to work harder...
By the way - do you think it will be cool with colored sewings on the black suit (yellow or blue maybe)? Of course it´s a matter of taste but let me know anyway...

rslomkov has one with rainbow stitching - quite funky.

Kneepads certainly make sense, I'd say. They protect the investment. I got them and the least they do is that they tell You where the front side of the pants is :t

I got a 5mm elios open cell superstretch black with chest pad, pretty much what you're planning on getting. Being lined and 5mm, it's actually quite a tough wetsuit, and it's possible to get on and off with only water (when I forget the shampoo). It's a joy to wear. Sounds like you've made a pretty good choice there.

I´ve heard som say it´s a good idea to add maybe 5 mm to some of the measurements because the suits come a little tight and may shrink a bit with time.
What do you guys think or what´s your experience?
