Nasal Squeeze???

Hey Guys,
I am new to this forum, this is only my second post, but I have a quick question. Why is nasal Squeeze a problem? I understand the physiology of it, but what is stopping us from simply allowing water into the nasal cavities and mouth, then stopping it at the throat. Wouldn't this effectively stop the need to equalize, albeit very uncomfortable. Thanks for the help! Till later...

That would only see the mouth and nasal cavity ok, the rest of the sinuses and inner ear would still be subject to external pressure so there would be nothing gained :(
